Beyond Gravity is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations to lead our production team within the Launchers division in Alabama. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence in the manufacturing of large composite structures, ensuring safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing and a passion for continuous improvement.

Your Mission

Lead and manage all production activities within the manufacturing area, ensuring efficient workflow and alignment with program goals.

Oversee training and cross-training programs for direct labor employees to build a flexible, skilled workforce.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Maintain strict adherence to internal and external quality standards.

Evaluate, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and professional growth.

Champion a lean, high-performance culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Communicate performance expectations clearly and consistently to all team members.

Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation and reporting.

Promote a positive, inclusive work environment that reflects company values and encourages collaboration and innovation.

Drive engagement and team spirit through transparent leadership and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Your Story

10+ years of progressive experience in aerospace manufacturing, including 5+ years in a direct leadership role.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies.

Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), Master Scheduling, and Warehouse Management.

Demonstrated ability to lead with a results-oriented mindset, focusing on execution, innovation, and cost-effective solutions.

Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering high-impact results.

Experience in composite manufacturing or large-scale aerospace structures, preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across departments

Passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams

Quality management systems experience (AS9100), preferred

Operates with high integrity; builds trust and sustains credibility in relationships with others.

Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.

Demonstrated experience in the application of lean manufacturing philosophy, concepts, and tools.

Team spirit, autonomous, engaged and reliable, and the ability to coach.
