Description

Shee Atik is seeking a dynamic individual to represent Sheet'k Treetop Adventures and Salmon Tales at the Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal. Dock Sales are tasked with developing a deep understanding of the intricate details of our tours and facilitating every aspect of the tour booking process.

This is a seasonal position that runs annually from May through September, with the current term ending in September 2025. Work hours are based on cruise ship and tour schedules to include weekends and holidays.

The Dock Sales employee will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

Meet pre-booked tour guests upon arrival at the dock, communicate tour details and direct them to their designated transportation
Collect tickets and vouchers and handle ticket settlements with shore excursion managers
Greet and interact with guests arriving to promote and sell tours.
Provide exceptional customer service and build rapport with guests throughout the booking process to ensure a memorable and seamless experience
Communicate with operators, drivers and guests to facilitate the tour details, including transportation options and tour time
Process payments
Provide transportation as needed
Run errands as needed
Requirements

Minimum Candidate Requirements

Candidate must have authorization to work for any US employer without employer sponsorship.

Candidate must have 1+ month(s) experience with the following:

Prior customer service and sales experience preferred
Experience in the tourism industry preferred
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Organizational and problem-solving skills are a must for handling unexpected situations and resolving issues
Able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Enthusiasm for providing an exceptional outdoor experience for visitors to Sitka, Alaska

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Drivers License
