Plan, direct, or coordinate activities concerned with self-performing or subcontracting various civil construction projects. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Includes managers in specialized construction fields, such earth moving, concrete, etc.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- High School Diploma required

Experience
- Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
- Supervising: 3 years (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include overseeing & assisting self-performed & subcontracted civil personnel in the construction of various civil construction projects including but not limited to the following scopes of work: demolition, clearing & grubbing, mass excavation & grading, storm drainage, concrete flatwork, structural concrete & asphalt paving. Responsibilities also include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; monitoring & maintaining heavy equipment, jobsite layout & grade establishment; Monitoring of project schedules & budgets.

Tasks
- Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
- Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of misc. civil work.
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations
