AMTS is currently seeking a qualified Program Manager to join our team on a long-term, fulfilling career opportunity in a manufacturing environment working remotely, with regular site visits to our facility in San Antonio, TX. Preferred candidate resides in San Antonio, TX (but not required).
AMTS-D&D JV provides manufacturing solutions, specializing in design, machining, fabrication and assembly of aerospace ground support equipment for the commercial and defense industry. Our team brings nearly 40 years of experience serving the aerospace industry. The AMTS-D&D JV was formed to deliver diverse and comprehensive manufacturing solutions to support the needs of the warfighter. Our subject matter experts bring to bear problem solving techniques you would expect from a large business, only we do it with small business agility. Our workforce is comprised of both civilian and former military members who bring institutional knowledge and experience together to produce customer specific, exceptional results.
Role Description
The Program Manager will manage the joint-venture DoD manufacturing programs that AMTS is responsible for. The duties for this position include, but not limited to:
Establishing, monitoring and achieving successful programs within the joint venture manufacturing environment.
Working with Operations Management, engineering, and manufacturing teams to create and manage customer timelines
You will be responsible for establishing, monitoring and achieving strategic, operational and financial objectives of a specific customer program(s) within the business unit and managing individual customer shop visits (projects) within its portfolio.
Requirements
Minimum Candidate Requirements
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Candidate must have the ability/eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Candidate must have 5+ years' experience with the following:
Program management with DoD manufacturing experience
Creating and managing timelines
Working with operations, engineers, and labor to achieve desired product
Customer interfacing - with internal/external stakeholder management
Developing Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for life cycle management/development of government systems/equipment/platforms…ground support equipment
Knowledge and experience with executing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Risk Analysis, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Logistics Product Data
Leads post award conferences, system requirement reviews, contractor test readiness reviews, government test readiness reviews, program management reviews, technical interchange meetings, systems engineering technical reviews
Management of scope, schedule, budget reviews, change management, configuration control boards
Proficient in MS Office Tools, high knowledge/experience with Microsoft Project
Desired skills
Demonstrated experience in DoD contracting -particularly manufacturing
Keen understanding of DoD Aerospace Ground Support Equipment life cycle management
Working knowledge of SBA 8(a) business development program
Experience with ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System
Experience with Acumatica ERP System
Experience with continuous improvement projects and processes such as Lean, Six sigma.
Hands-on experience utilizing analytics, particularly in assessing performance and utilization metrics.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence, advise and direct members outside the direct reporting structure to perform job requirements and meet deadlines.
Experience with verbal and written communication skills to communicate program status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders, including senior management, and customers.

$110,000 - $140,000
