Summary:
This position is responsible for performing maintenance related responsibilities, (through working with the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Lead) to include upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. The position is also responsible for working alongside other Maintenance Technicians and vendors to ensure electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems are in properly working order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards.
Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems.
Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving furniture or materials within the facility.
Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
Performs preventive maintenance and skilled repairs on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems.
Follows standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness.
Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.
Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details in the designated database.
Follows all safety procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience:
Requires a high school diploma.
Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
