We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to our manufacturing teams, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in all processes. This role involves establishing manufacturing procedures, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and developing effective solutions. The Manufacturing Engineer will also manage documentation related to quality management systems, conduct internal and external audits, and lead training on quality and performance system tools. Additionally, this position will collaborate with various departments to address quality-related concerns and may be involved in the development and maintenance of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) projects. The ideal candidate will work independently while maintaining strong communication and teamwork with departmental leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET EAC accredited program at a four-year college or university. Proof of degree required. A transcript or diploma would be acceptable and must be provided.
- Be able cooperate well with other individuals.
- Have working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software such as Word, Excel, Access, etc. and computer skills including computer aided design (CAD).
- Have the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications and other technical documents.
- Willing and able to climb and work from high places
- Must exhibit a basic working knowledge of machinery.
- Must exhibit a basic working knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits particularly as they apply to shop equipment operations.
- Subject to departmental transfer to other engineering positions within the Manufacturing Division.
- Must be available for work during off hours, subject to need.
- Must exhibit the ability and willingness to be a hands-on, shop oriented engineer.
- Must exhibit the ability to keep accurate records of experiments and results.
- Must exhibit the ability to write technical papers and summarize results of research work.
- Must be willing and able to travel on a moderate basis with minimal notice to discuss technical issues with customers.

Ideal Candidate:

- Graduate education or professional certification.
- Several years' work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Exhibit basic management skills.
- Work experience with the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledge of robotic integration and programming.
- Knowledge of AMERICAN's manufacturing processes and products, or similar processes and products.
- Advanced knowledge and/or substantial work experience with the latest technologies and/or control systems.
- Prior work experience in electrical engineering, machine shop, metal forming, tooling design, computer science, information technologies or maintenance.
- Training and/or experience with personal computer and computer aided designs.
- Possess current Professional Engineering License or, if candidate is a recent graduate, Engineer-In-Training Certification.
- Advanced knowledge and/or substantial work experience with PLCs and other automated control systems.
- Prior work experience with root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions, management of change, risk assessment and treatment, audits, and document control.
