B.L. Harbert International is looking for an Intern to work in the Estimating department to assist in bid preparation. Candidate will work with the International Group, located in Birmingham, Alabama.

Requirements:

- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
- Currently pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate degree in construction related field
- Interest in pursuing a career in international construction
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work on a team as well as individually

Physical Demands:

To perform the duties of this job, the employee must:

- Have the ability to repetitively use hands to grasp, reach above and below with arms, and work overhead
- Have the ability to stoop, bend, walk, kneel, crouch and crawl
- Have the ability to lift, carry and/or move up to 25 lbs. of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.
- Have the ability to sit for extended periods with occasional standing required
- Possess the manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills
- Possess a high degree of concentration necessary in a busy office environment
