The Concrete Superintendent supervises craft and/or subcontractors for the structural installation, testing and turnover of systems to commissioning. The Concrete Superintendent oversees the daily structural construction activities at the work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials and progress of the project. The Superintendent needs to be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures in the specified discipline.

Assess workforce, material, tool, and construction equipment needs and arranges for these components to support the needs of the project
Review cost reports and projections and take action to effectively manage job costs to levels within the contract budget
Assist in the development and is required to maintain the project schedule by studying project plans and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements. Maintain and submit 3 Week Look-Ahead schedules; communicate updates and impacts to schedule with PM on a daily basis.
Ensure work is installed per the requisite quality standards
Review coding field delivery tickets and employee time cards with the project manager daily.
Monitoring and Forecasting of man/crew hours. Updating manpower sheet monthly
Maintain daily logs to document all jobsite activities and events
Sets priorities for own craft and able to coordinate work activities with other disciplines and Subcontractors to ensure task completion.
Provides for and coordinate required workforce, materials, tools, and equipment
Implement and manage Concrete Quality Control Program on every project and ensure all Pre-Pour checklists are completed prior to the Pour. Assure that the quality of the work in place in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.
Able to analyze productivity trends and make adjustments to work activities to optimize production
Supervise daily concrete activities to include foundations, elevated formwork, cranes, layout and controls, placement, consolidating and finishing concrete best practices.
Enforce jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations and R&M’s Safety Program

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job) Four (4) or more years of experience as a Concrete superintendent
Ability to read, analyzes, and interpret contract documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
OSHA 30 Hour preferred
Maintain understanding of basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold and hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing, formwork systems, etc. as well as concrete calculations for pours.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of work processes and tools within Structural discipline.
