Position: Dental Laboratory Trainer

Location: Huntsville, AL

Oral Arts is a full-service family owned and operated dental laboratory. We manufacture dental prostheses, such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, partials, orthodontic appliances, etc. and have an immediate need for a full-time Dental Lab Trainer.

Description of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Identify training and development needs by consulting with supervisors, managers, and Human Resources
- Design and expand training, development material, and programs based on the needs of the company and the individual
- Lead training courses as necessary on an individual basis, classroom setting, etc.
- Manage the delivery of training and development materials and communicate schedules with supervisors, managers, employees, etc.
- Amend and revise educational material and programs, as necessary, to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Accommodate different learning needs and create individual learning plans as necessary
- Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers
- Coordinate, plan and promote all educational opportunities and events including but not limited to continuing education for all in-house Certified Dental Technician’s and continuing education opportunities for dentists
- Assist managers to solve specific training problems
- Keep up to date with developments in training and the dental industry by reading relevant journals, going to meetings, and attending relevant courses
- Research new methodologies and technologies in workplace learning

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have the skills to create a positive and engaging learning environment, with transferable experience from an educational background or the dental field. Preference will be given to those with a background in the dental industry, such as hygienists, dental assistants, or those with experience in a dental laboratory setting. However, candidates with strong teaching experience and the ability to efficiently learn all aspects of the dental laboratory will also be considered.

Pay/Salary is based on relevant experience.
