Job descriptions:
The Lead Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects on behalf of the Contractor. This role requires a deep understanding of contract terms, project management principles, and building maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Representation: Act as the primary point of contact for the Contractor, representing their interests and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
- Quality Control: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with contract specifications.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and the public.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee the performance of subcontractors and ensure they meet contractual obligations.
- Project Management: Oversee all project activities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Contracting Officer, project team members, and subcontractors.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during project execution.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of O&M/Facilities Management experience, with at least 5 years in a project management/supervisory role.
- Expertise: Proven experience in managing building mechanical maintenance operations for buildings of similar size (high rise one million square feet), complexity, and characteristics.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to effectively manage project teams and delegate tasks.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction practices, building systems, and contract law.
