Oral Arts is a full-service family owned and operated dental laboratory. We manufacture dental prostheses, such as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, partials, orthodontic appliances, etc. and have an immediate need for a Staff Accountant.
Description of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the accounting functions for both our US and offshore operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a broad range of accounting and financial responsibilities, working closely with the Accounting Manager and other team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Process and record daily deposits and payments.
- Reconcile checking accounts.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Oversee and manage prepaids, fixed assets and accruals.
- Process sales and use tax returns and payments.
- Process accounts receivable statements.
- Reconcile credit card statements.
- Support the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage Business Licenses Renewals.
- Cooperate and comply with local, state, and federal government agencies in regard to reports, filings, and audits relevant to the accounting department.
- Provide information, reports, and analysis as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Management.
- Handle customer payments
- Serve as a back-up for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned by management.
Required experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in the accounting field is required.
- 0 - 2 years’ experience in accounting.
- Dental Lab industry experience preferred.
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills required to include VLOOKUP, Data Validation, IF Statements, Pivot tables, and reporting.
- Must understand account reconciliations.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment, as well as an individual work environment.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Pay/Salary is based on relevant experience.
