The Labor Foreman helps plan and coordinate the efforts of the craft team under his/her supervision and to motivate them to accomplish their work safely, correctly and efficiently. He/she has experience leading other craft professionals.

Be able to perform all of the essential functions of the craft workers under his/her supervision.
Perform task planning to safely and efficiently carry out all aspects of that work assigned.
Train/teach safety practices, policies, and procedures related to an employee’s assigned tasks. Provide on-the-job training to those individuals under his/her supervision. Ensure that Laborers are qualified to perform their work.
Gain complete understanding of scope of work and related parts of project.
Develop a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and schedules as they relate to that portion of the work assigned.
Conduct tool box meetings & communicate safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules to the crews.
Plan and communicate with the warehouse, purchasing, and supervisor to assure that an adequate supply of tools, materials, and equipment are available.
Ensure through personal inspections that correct construction procedures are followed and work is in compliance with the plans and specifications.
Point out deficiencies, explain, and take corrective action as needed.
Review crew’s timecards for correct hours and phase coding. Monitor and report quantities of work accomplished on a daily/weekly basis.
Complete performance reviews of craft workers.
Develop weekly work plans and monitor production.
In addition, perform other job-specific duties and have a basic understanding of the scheduling, material control, and productivity management systems.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.) High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred
Must be a highly qualified supervisor with at least 3 years’ experience.
Ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

NCCER Certification preferred.
