Job descriptions:
We are seeking a highly motivated and licensed electrician to join our team and maintain the electrical systems at the IRS Annex and Service Center in Chamblee, GA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the facilities' electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

- Respond to assignments from the O&M Supervisor (OMS) to address maintenance, repair, and inspection needs of the electrical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct special services such as troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and performing corrective actions.
- Operate and adjust electrical switches as needed to maintain power distribution throughout the facilities.
- Perform all required electrical testing in accordance with applicable codes and certification processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all electrical work performed.
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the OMS and other facilities staff to ensure seamless coordination of electrical maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

- Journey-level Electrician license in the State of Georgia (or equivalent in your jurisdiction).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial or institutional electrical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations (NFPA 70E).
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
