The Staff Accountant provides essential support to the Accounting Department and Operations by performing various administrative tasks related to general and job cost accounting. This role utilizes various accounting systems and technology to ensure efficient execution of responsibilities, including data entry, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance. The position requires strong collaboration across departments to facilitate accurate job cost management and financial reporting.

Import and manage labor data, including contract labor rates, labor moves, and labor registers.
Record Workers’ Compensation costs, warranty escrow, and other miscellaneous entries.
Oversee the entry and reconciliation of contractual insurance, IT costs, and small tools expenses.
Reconcile various general ledger accounts and assist in preparing for the annual audit.
Assist with Sage Security setup and management.
Handle job setup coordination.
Disburse Textura payments to subcontractors.
Serve as a backup for check printing, cash management (CM), accounts receivable (AR) functions, and Procore.
Other projects or tasks, as deemed necessary by the Corporate Accounting Manager.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job)
Associate’s Degree with accounting experience, Accounting Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting or finance experience; construction industry experience preferred.
Effective interpersonal & communication skills (oral and written; clear and concise).
Preferably, effective use of technology with financial and analytical related computer software.
Organizational and time management skills, including the ability to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
Excel mastery is required, including vlookup, sumif, pivot tables, and basic macros.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Power BI preferred, working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
