*SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION*

Process information. Obtain the appropriate line pouring schedule. Write information from the process card onto board for Iron Pourers. Record tap time and furnace number. Record molten temperature. Pour chemical test mold (keel block) for each grade of iron poured. Pour chemistry sample at each job change and every fifth ladle thereafter. Pour micro mold. Use saw to cut samples and grind to smooth when required. Use a stopwatch to time pour where a sample is being taken and record results. Use microscope for evaluation. Keep appropriate records. Follow proper "RED TAG" procedure if the modularity is out of specification. Keep work area clean and orderly. Must be able to use a calibrated immersion pyrometer. Operate a forklift as needed. May assist with closing and clamping molds. Inform Lab immediately of anything out of specification. May perform lab technician duties if needed. Record all data as necessary by completing paperwork and/or on a computer. This position may be classified as a lead person which will perform job duties as assigned. Know safety rules that apply to the safety of others and to personal safety. Report malfunction of equipment to proper authority. Perform other work as instructed by supervisor.
